This week I’ve been thinking about the many gifts my mother has given me. The one I appreciate most is the encouragement she’s given me as I’ve explored all kinds of creative outlets (even now!) . . . she is always encouraging. When I’ve worried that maybe I’m just chasing a rainbow or a crazy rabbit trail, she’s reminded me to just enjoy the process . . . “there is no limit on the number of creative skills I’m allowed to pursue” . . . and that there is no ‘expectation’ other than to come away having learned something new about myself. I so appreciate that about my mom!
That said, my current ‘creative outlet’ has been working on using my digital software skills to create my own scrapbooking kits. This page was made from a kit I made as a participant in the SNL #26 challenge. The forum provides the color palette and everyone ‘playing’ starts with a blank slate . . . no rules . . . just create papers and embellishments for digital scrapbooking! I’m having so much fun with this month’s colors I’ve already created four kits! Who knows, I may even get them posted to my PAPERS page!
