On our recent visit with our grandbabies on the west coast, Grampa designed a little dollie bed that could be assembled by ‘little hands’ while he was there. It is 100% wood or glue, made from a soft pine, and held together at the joints by little wooden dowels and of course, glue. Since he was driving (instead of flying) he was able to bring along some clamps to hold it while the glue dried.
He had no trouble getting volunteers to help ‘build’ the bed … as you can see! What fun the little ones had and WHAT GREAT HELPERS they were!
